Kings.The British Empire Conferred On Him The Kaiser-i-Hind
Medal For His Meritorious Services. Sir Robert Stanes
Stood Before Kings And Nobles Since He Was Diligent.
Sir Robert Stanes Who Was
Born On 13th May 1841, Laid The Foundation Stone Of The
School On 6th November 1862. In That Year, The School Was
Started With Four Children And Two Teachers. But Today
On Our Rolls We Have Around 3000 pupils And 100 Members
Of Staff. We Remember With Gratitude Its Humble Beginning
And Bow Before The Lord For His Abundent Mercies. It
Started As a European And Eurasian School But Under
Concept Of Liberal Education The Portals Of Our School
Have Been Thrown Open To All Irrespective Of Their Creed,
Community And Status. Of Course The Exclusive Minority
Rights For Anglo-Indian Children Are Being Retained

That a Planter Stationed At Coonoor Had To Go To Coimbatore

That He Could Cure Coffee Here Itself Instead Of Sending
His Coffee From Coonoor To
Cochin By Bullock Cart.

Found a Manchester Here Climatewise. The Idea Struck
Him That He Could Not Only Cure Coffee Here At Coimbatore
But Start a Textile Mill And He Did It. This Paved The
Way For The Great Textile Industry Of Coimbatore. We
Are Proud Of Our Founder Who Founded The Textile Industry
For Coimbatore.
In One Of His Visits
To England He Was Deeply Touched By Christ's Love And
He Accepted Jesus As His Personal Saviour. "After
1888,He Was Spiritually Awakened. He Became Both Religious
And Charitable". This Overwhelmed And Over Shadowed
All Other Business Interests Of His, Resulting In His
Transformation Into a Missionary Industrialist. He Had
a Message, a Vision And Mission For The People Of Coimbatore
And The Nilgiris. Ability To Go Into Details Marks a Person
